I have been reading the match agreement and notice that it would be a violation if you aplpy to a hospital and match it and then do not accept the position. Does that mean that if I apply to any hospital I have to accept the position they offer me eventhough may be by the time of the match I realize that I can not be in that hospital or can not move for any reason?...because right now i am thinking in some hospitals in X state but i wont be sure about moving there until next year...does that mean that because i am not sure i should not apply to those hospitals?. What happen if you match in two hospitals at the same time??...I don't know what to do, i will wait for your answer to decide.

Thanks in advance

yau are right!..u have to accept the postion once u are matched.so be careful about applying to programs where u are not intersted.
Also u can't get matched in 2 programs at a time(becausue of the computer brain involved in it..ha ha )

the match rank order list.

Well, I dont think you need to think of this when you apply and interview, but ONLY when you put in the match rank order list.

After all, how can you know about the program unless u interview and look at it first hand.

matching process

Postby Tommy » 05 Apr 2008, 12:00

Why is the matching process so complex? There are so many companies that have gotten into this and fighiting with one another. It must be profitable........
